Serving Out

HBCC is in charge of making a meal for the Ronald McDonald House residents once every other month! We need 6 volunteers to cook the meal and set it up for self-service! That’s it! All ingredients are provided, no need to serve the meal or clean up and we are done by 5pm! Please contact Jeri Alligood(252-945-3864) if you are interested in helping with this wonderful cause! Volunteers please meet at the Ronald McDonald House at 3pm! Thank you!

Daily Bread Ministry, in partnership with the Albemarle Food Bank, Elizabeth City, NC, is a “drive-thru” grocery food distribution service which takes place in the parking lot of HBCC every 4th Saturday of the month (subject to change depending on the holiday calendar)!

This food is free and for any family who registers in the line on the day of the distribution. Generally, the food distribution starts around 11:30am and lasts until all the food is distributed.

Volunteers of all ages are needed to help unload the truck, organize the groceries and distribute the food accordingly. If you are interested in volunteering, please arrive by 10:30am.

We look forward to serving with you!

Once a quarter, the M25:35 (Matthew 25:35) Ministry Team cooks for and feeds our food distribution guests a FREE, sit-down, hot meal in our Family Life Center!

The next M25:35 Meal will be in May!

Volunteers are always needed to donate food, cook and serve!

2017 Winter Coat Drive spans from March to October. Coats are distributed in November!
